• Interesting facts about Mandalay Bay : To create salt water for the Shark Reef's aquarium, salt is imported from the Red Sea to mix with dechlorinated tap water. The wave pool at Mandalay Beach can generate waves as high as six feet for surfing (for swimming, they max out at three feet). The Shark Reef has five of only 12 golden saltwater crocodiles in existence.
